Booking & Reservation Guidelines for Tau Game Lodge

Cancellation Policy for Individual Bookings

The cancellation of a provisional FIT reservation will incur no cancellation fees.
Tau Game Lodge reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fees on cancellation of a confirmed reservation:
- Date of confirmation to 61 days prior to arrival: 25% of total reservation
  value (no refund of deposit)
- 60-days to 31 days prior to arrival: 50% of total reservation value
- 30-days to date of arrival: 100% of total reservation value

Cancellation Policy for Group Bookings

The cancellation of a provisional group reservation will incur no cancellation fees.
Tau Game Lodge reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fees on cancellation of a confirmed group reservation:
- Date of confirmation to 61 days prior to arrival: 25% of total reservation
  value (no refund of deposit)
- 60-days to 31 days prior to arrival: 50% of total reservation value
- 30-days to date of arrival: 100% of total reservation value

Reduction in Number of Rooms Booked

Cancellation fees are applicable to any rooms released within 30 days to date of arrival, or which have been cancelled and are not re-sold by the arrival date.

General issues Relating to Children

Children 6 to 11 years of age are accommodated on standard adult game drives, subject to the discretion of Lodge Management.
Short Kiddies safaris are provided for the smaller children (3 - 5 years).
Child minders are available in the evenings as well as during the game drives, at a nominal charge, they are booked on arrival and fees are payable at the lodge on departure.
Rates include special child activity package which works best over school holidays.
Early dinners for children can be arranged with the lodge caterer.

Additional Levies

A Conservation levy is charged by the North West Parks Board on entering Madikwe Game Reserve, the applicable per person charge is printed on the confirmation voucher and is collected by Tau Game Lodge on behalf of the N.W.P.B
A Government Bed levy is charged per person per night and is due for payment on check-out
A compulsory Rhino conservation Fee is applicable to assist the Reserve in its anti-poaching efforts as per 1 August 2017.
